A Mission district resident got an early Christmas present that he'd probably like to return.

An unknown suspect broke into a Mission district residence early Monday morning and used their bathroom before leaving, police said.

The suspect reportedly entered the locked home in the 1100 block of South Van Ness just before 6 a.m., police said. Once inside, the suspect reportedly defecated in the bathroom and left.

A 40-year-old male resident reported the incident to police, and other than the suspect illicitly using the facilities, nothing was stolen and no one was injured.
