A man was assaulted and robbed by his own cousin and three other men in Russian Hill on Saturday, police said.

The 19-year-old victim was reportedly involved in a dispute with his cousin over a girl, police Officer Albie Esparza said. His cousin suggested they meet up at Filbert and Leavenworth streets to work out their dispute.

The victim arrived at the location about 10:30 p.m. When he got there, he was assaulted by his cousin and three other men, Esparza said.

The suspects were reportedly all men in their 20s.

During the assault, the victim's cellphone was reportedly taken from him.

The victim sustained injuries that were not life threatening, and drove himself to the hospital. Police made contact with the victim at the hospital.

No arrests have been made.
