Man arrested in assault of 61-year-old woman in Tenderloin 

A man was arrested on Christmas in the assault of a 61-year-old woman in the Tenderloin, police Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

The victim and the 45-year-old suspect reportedly got involved in an argument in the 100 block of Golden Gate Avenue about 6:45 a.m. after the suspect reportedly threw some of the victim's belongings into the street, Newman said.

The suspect reportedly punched the woman numerous times in the face and head. Her injuries were not life threatening and she refused treatment at the scene.

Dion Taylor, 45, of San Francisco, was arrested at the scene and was charged with aggravated assault.
