Man, 68, pistol-whipped and robbed in his Bayview office

A 68-year-old man was pistol-whipped and robbed in his own office in the Bayview early Wednesday morning, police said.

The victim was in his office in the 1500 block of Newhall Street about 1:40 a.m. when five to six men armed with handguns and dressed in black came in and pistol-whipped the victim in the forehead.

The crooks then stole cash and a handgun before fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening.

No arrests have been made.
