Lowell bounces back against Menlo-Atherton

A night after dropping just their second game of the season against a tough St. Ignatius team, the Lowell High School girls’ basketball team bounced back with a 59-47 road victory against Menlo-Atherton on Wednesday.

Senior Tiffani Pak paced the Cardinals (10-2) with 19 points. Sophomore Katarina Lum, who scored 20 points in Tuesday night’s 62-48 loss to St. Ignatius, added 15 points on Wednesday, while senior Erin Ng chipped in 12 points.

The Cardinals are off the next few days for Christmas, but will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Mount Pleasant High School in San Jose for a 7 p.m. contest. It will be the second meeting of the month between the two teams after Lowell toppled Mt. Pleasant 47-37 on Dec. 11.

The Cardinals open up Academic Athletic Association play against International on Jan. 5.
