Lindsay Lohan will be charged with felony grand theft, TMZ reported. The actress was photographed wearing a $2,500 necklace that went missing from an L.A.-area store, and her stylist returned it after police obtained a search warrant. The actress said the trinket was on loan and her stylist was supposed to return it sooner.
“I didn’t have any part in the nonreturning on time,” the beleaguered star is said to insist.
Insiders say La Linds believes the owner of the jewelry store is making up the story, saying, “People just don’t believe me and know I’m in a vulnerable position.”
She is said to be “extremely nervous” about the possible consequence she faces — state prison. “Nothing is worth going back,” LiLo has reportedly said.
And it’s hard to imagine her career could survive another jail stint.
Does Christina Aguilera have a problem? The singer, who made headlines by flubbing the lyrics to the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday, has her staff concerned, the New York Post reported.
After she allegedly crashed actor Jeremy Renner’s birthday party — then passed out in his bed — Christina’s handlers discussed seeking help for her, according to the paper. But when she heard about the plan, she allegedly responded by threatening to fire them.
“They wanted to talk to her carefully about the issue, but they’re not going to because they are scared after she threatened to fire them,” an insider reportedly said. “Her people desperately want this to come out so she will get help.”
Xtina’s rep would not comment, but another source said the rumor that staffers are concerned was spread by a fired former employee, and the diva is simply going through a difficult time post-divorce.
Either way, it sounds like Christina has some issues to address. She’s got an amazing voice, but messing up “The Star-Spangled Banner” while the whole nation is watching was a major embarrassment. Get it together, girl!
We have heard of royalty being chauffeured in limos, riding in horse-drawn carriages and even being carried on a litter. But riding in the trunk of a car? Yep, Britain’s Prince Harry reportedly climbed into a Jaguar’s “boot” with blond beauty Chelsy Davy last weekend.
The on-off couple of five years split up last fall, but their mode of transportation as they left London’s Beaufort House raised speculation they have reunited yet again.
“It was bizarre. The [trunk] was popped open before the pair emerged,” an onlooker relayed to the U.K.’s Sun. “Neither seemed the worse the wear for drink when they climbed in, and they acted as if it was the most normal thing.”
The question on everyone’s mind: Will she be his date at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s April wedding?
Lauren Conrad’s planned MTV reality show has been scrapped — and she is not happy about it.
The former “Hills” star was set to return to the network that made her famous with a new show about her fledgling fashion career. But after she filmed footage, the cable channel passed on picking up the show.
“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result,” L.C. said in a statement. “MTV felt the subject matter was too highbrow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life.”
However, she maintains, they had “agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships.”
Sorry, Lauren, but people don’t watch you to be inspired, they watch you for the drama.
