Seriously, people, this whole vow renewal thing needs to end right now. Just one year after getting married, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian reaffirmed their commitment to each other — and of course, the country singer couldn’t resist a chance to gush about her perfect relationship on Twitter.
“Renewed our vows today,” the former child prodigy announced Friday. “It’s incredible to thank each other for the past year as husband and wife. Here’s to another great year!”
Well, considering their backstory, we can kind of understand why this couple would want to check in about their marital status. Maybe it’s just their special way of telling each other, “I haven’t started seeing someone else yet.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt is still feeling humiliated that she told the world about her crush on newly single Adam Levine — but she’s grateful that at least he was “gracious” about it.
The “Client List” star wasted no time after learning that the Maroon 5 frontman had split with model girlfriend Anne V before offering herself up as a possible rebound romance. She told Ellen DeGeneres — on air, mind you — that “we would be cute” together.
But after Adam told the TV host he thought the declaration was “aggressive,” though “flattering,” the actress sheepishly tweeted, “Thank you to @adamlevine for being so gracious on Ellen about my crush heard round the world. I’ve learned a lesson. #Sssh.”
Having clearly learned that the blogosphere reacts to news of a crush in much the same way that eighth-grade mean girls do, J.Love followed up with a post lamenting “the moment when you make a comment about something or someone and the world makes you feel like a total fool. #keepcrushesquiet.”
Oh, Jennifer Love Hewitt. There’s being a hopeless romantic, and then there’s just being hopeless.
McDreamy to the Rescue
Patrick Dempsey is perhaps even dreamier in real life than he is on “Grey’s Anatomy.” The actor came to the rescue when a 17-year-old driver lost control of his Ford Mustang and it overturned repeatedly, eventually landing upside down on Patrick’s Malibu property, TMZ reports.
The TV star came running with a crowbar to pry the young man and his passenger out of the car. He called the driver’s mother to reassure her that her son was OK, and followed after the teen was airlifted to a hospital. The driver suffered a concussion and his passenger was unharmed.
The kicker: When the driver first opened his eyes after being pulled from the car, he reportedly asked Patrick, “Are you famous?”
His response: “I’m a doctor.” Love it! Someone put this man in an action movie.
