Larry Ellison denies buying house in squabble about views of San Francisco Bay

Oracle CEO Larry Ellison has denied buying a house next door to his for $40 million as part of a legal fight about trees and a view of San Francisco Bay.

Reports surfaced this week that Ellison had purchased a home next door to his during a fight with neighbors about their trees.

Ellison released a statement Thursday saying that the reports were untrue.

All of the newspaper stories reporting that I am buying the house next-door to my San Francisco home for $40 million are untrue," said Oracle CEO Larry Ellison in the statement. "No one has ever offered to sell me the house next-door for $40 million or any other price.  If someone does offer to sell me the house next-door for $40 million or an amount anywhere near $40 million I will not buy it."
