It’s official: The 2010 lineup for the third annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival includes headliners Kings of Leon on Sunday and Furthur featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir on Saturday, along with the Strokes, My Morning Jacket, Phoenix, Social Distortion, Levon Helm and Al Green.
Also in the lineup for the show, which is Aug. 14-15 in Golden Gate Park, are “emerging” artists such as Gogol Bordello, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Janelle Monáe, Tokyo Police Club, The Temper Trap, Bassnectar, Dawes and a few dozen more.
Furthur, with Lesh and Weir – both in the Grateful Dead – played Golden Gate Park often in the late 1960s and early '70s. Furthur's slot will mark the first time that Lesh and Weir will perform together again in the park since Bill Graham's memorial tribute in 1991.
The event is presented by Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Productions and Starr Hill Presents, partnering with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
