Kim Kardashian is engaged! And we can only guess that the suits at E! are clearing the network’s schedule for a marathon of celebratory coverage to rival the recent royal wedding.
The reality TV star’s beau of six months, New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries (who, creepily, has the same name as Kim’s mom), proposed in her bedroom, on one knee, with the words “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” spelled out in rose petals.
“I always dreamed of a big wedding,” Kim, who was married briefly once before, told People magazine. “I’ll probably do something really over the top.” (Shocking.) The couple is reportedly planning summer nuptials.
The ring was designed by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz and, according to TMZ, it fits Kim’s fantasy of Elizabeth Taylor-style engagement bling — the center stone is 16.5 carats and it’s sandwiched between two 2-carat diamonds. Total value: a whopping $2 million, per the website.
“I didn’t expect this at all,” the socialite told People. “I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”
If it was such a surprise, how did Kim end up posing on the cover of People with her ring on?
Olivia Wilde got close — very close — to Bradley Cooper at the “Hangover 2” premiere party in NYC on Monday night. They were seated together in a VIP booth before adjourning to the roof of the Standard Hotel with pals, then leaving together around 1 a.m., according to the New York Post.
And this wasn’t the first time the pair has connected. They were flirtatious at the “SNL” after-party over the weekend, despite rumors linking the “Tron: Legacy” star to Justin Timberlake, who hosted the show.
“It looked like Olivia was friendly with Justin, but flirting with Bradley,” a source said.
Wow. So when Justin’s publicist said they were just friends, it was actually true?
There’s nothing more entertaining than when two random celebrities cross paths and end up feuding. There was George Clooney’s classic contentious restaurant run-in with Fabio, of course, and Marg Helgenberger’s recent war of words with Justin Bieber. And now, apparently, January Jones and Zach Galifianakis have beef.
Told in a recent interview with website Short List that the “Mad Men” star had praised him as the “most naturally funny man she’d ever met,” the “Hangover 2” actor blurted, “That’s really funny because, if I remember correctly, she and I were very rude to each other.”
“It was crazy,” Zach said. “I was at a party — I’d never met her — and she was like, ‘Come sit down.’ So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, ‘I think it’s time for you to leave now.’
“So I say, ‘January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so [expletive] be nice,’ and I got up and left. And she thinks that’s funny?”
Well, we certainly do!
