Kim Kardashian and her family are obsessed with planning her lavish wedding — but are her future in-laws being crowded out of the picture?
“Kim’s so happy,” sister Khloe told OK! “Honestly, Kim is someone who has thought of her wedding from the day she was born.”
But according to In Touch, the reality star’s whirlwind wedding prep (she recently flew from Los Angeles to New York City and back just for a dress fitting) doesn’t appear to include the relatives of husband-to-be Kris Humphries.
“The Humphrieses feel totally left out,” a source tells the tabloid. “They feel like they’re being treated like second-class citizens.”
“Their opinions are never asked for, or needed,” says another insider.
Kim’s “momager,” Kris Jenner, is said to be overseeing the festivities, with E! picking up most of the bill in anticipation of televising the event. And the groom’s dad was allegedly rebuffed when he attempted to help pay for the wedding party — because, sources speculate, that might have led him to want some say in the planning.
“Kris Humphries’ dad is a successful businessman, and he offered to contribute, but he was told, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’ ” per the source.
“Kris’ dad doesn’t feel like he’s gaining a daughter,” says the source. “He feels like he’s losing a son. He’s scared that the wedding snub might be a sign of things to come.”
Considering that Kris’ bachelor party featured a cake depicting him with the tagline “Property of Kim Kardashian,” we think his dad might be on to something.
Hilary Duff is going to be a mom! The singer-actress posted an announcement on her website that she and hockey player hubby Mike Comrie are celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary … and getting ready to welcome their first child.
“BABY MAKES THREE!!!” the former “Lizzie McGuire” star wrote. “We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives.”
Wow, it seems like just yesterday Hilary was a baby-faced Disney teenybopper, and now she’s having a baby of her own! Congrats to the happy parents-to-be!
Toxicology test results are still pending, but some of Warrant singer Jani Lane’s loved ones have already concluded that alcoholism was responsible for his death at 47 in a hotel room last Thursday.
“Alcoholism is not something he chose,” the late rocker’s sister, Vicky Oswald-Ley, told Radar Online. “It’s something he fought every day, and it just won.”
Though she insisted her brother didn’t do drugs, she said he had struggled with a drinking problem for a decade: “We don’t have the autopsy report back yet, but he was a heavy drinker and I can only guess that alcoholism has a lot to do with it.”
“He was so talented and witty and bright, but he shut his siblings out and I know that is because he was ashamed of his drinking,” Vicky said. “We would all have flown out to Los Angeles from Ohio to bring him back if he’d let us, but he isolated himself.”
And in the wake of Jani’s death, Vicky said, neither his wife, Kimberley, nor his manager had reached out to the family.
“Why was he in a hotel? Why was he away from [his wife]? Why was there isolation?” she asked. “We have so many questions and don’t know where to turn for answers.”
