It took a jury less than an hour to decide that Carlos Law, 39, was not the BART rider who allegedly masturbated and giggled on a train June 16, the Public Defender’s Office said.

About 11:30 p.m. June 16, Law was reportedly riding a train when BART police detained him and nine others. A 26-year-old woman who reported that a man masturbated in front of her in an adjacent train car wrongly identified Law as the perpetrator, Public Defender’s Office spokeswoman Tamara Barak Aparton said.
