  • After the humiliating details of a lawsuit John Travolta is involved with were revealed last Friday, today the charges were dropped.

After John Travolta lost his bid to keep an upcoming lawsuit on the down-low through arbitration, the two sides agreed to drop the suit,  the Hollywood Reporter stated on Tuesday. Cruise ship masseuse Fabian Zanzi sued Travolta for “exposing himself” and then “forcefully embracing” him after he performed a neck massage on the actor on a Royal Caribbean ocean liner in 2009.

Travolta denied the accusation and avoided a public trial with Monday’s settlement, according to the Reporter. Zanzi was also suing the cruise line for “false imprisonment,” alleging that his superiors confined him to a “segregated room” for five days until Travolta left the ship. Two other men came forward with similar lawsuits last year, but both were eventually dropped.

Quick Takes

  • The first reviews of Ashton Kutcher’s portrayal of Steve Jobs are out, and they aren’t good.
  • Robert De Niro immortalized impressions of his hands and feet in wet cement outside of the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
  • The absence of a best director nomination for Ben Affleck at the Oscars is blatantly apparent after he won every other top directorial honor this year (SAG, Golden Globe, Director’s Guild and Critic’s Choice awards, among others).
  • Katie Couric has landed an interview with Joe Paterno’s widow, hot on the heels of her talk show being renewed for a second season.
