It's time to settle up, Texas

It appears that Mayor Gavin Newsom has already enjoyed  a sloppy spread of BBQ thanks to Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck. The two mayors made a bet over the World Series game between the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants. The loser would deliver hometown treats as well as show up in the winning team’s jersey to do community service around town, which according to will happen next week.

"The mayor of Arlington is halfway through settling up on his World Series wager with Mayor Newsom," said Newsom spokesman Tony Winnicker. "Newsom and his staff really enjoyed the Spring Creek BBQ from Arlington last week, but we definitely could have used a few more napkins."

"Mayor Newsom is really looking forward to settling the second part of his wager, however, and that's welcoming Mayor Cluck to San Francisco for a Junior Giants baseball clinic for disadvantaged kids," Winnicker said.
