Surprise! Lindsay Lohan is in trouble again. The latest drama for the “Machete” star: She’s accused of not living up to her probation requirements fully.
First of all, the starlet was tossed from the program where she was supposed to complete her community service requirement, TMZ reports — because she didn’t show up for nine scheduled visits, and when she did show, left early.
A judge decreed that as part of her probation in a shoplifting case, LiLo should spend at least four hours per stint at the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles — but according to the paparazzi site, she frequently took off after only an hour.
Lindsay is now assigned to work at the American Red Cross, but the total number of community service hours she’s completed is said to be “very unimpressive.”
And that’s not all. Lindsay is said to have missed two therapy appointments when she traveled to Paris for a modeling job last month — when missing even one appointment counts as a probation violation. But the starlet insists she got clearance from her probation officer as well as her therapist to conduct the two 45-minute sessions over the phone. (Hasn’t she ever heard of Skype?)
For her part, La Linds believes she is being targeted by the probation department wanting to make an example of her. The “Mean Girls” star is set to appear before the judge next week for a progress hearing and “can’t wait” to defend herself. Stay tuned. ...
Mad at Mel
The legal battle between Mel Gibson and his baby mama, Oksana Grigorieva, is raging on. The Russian singer reportedly plans to argue in court Tuesday that the “Braveheart” star is an absentee father, after he was involved in a minor car accident last Monday when he was supposed to be caring for their almost-2-year-old daughter, Lucia.
“On Monday, Mel was in the midst of a four-day custody visit and he chose to go to Arizona,” an Oksana insider told Radar Online. “We’re told Lucia was left at Mel’s Malibu mansion in the care of a nanny at the time he crashed his car.”
“Mel had not informed Oksana that he was traveling nor did he provide regular updates about Lucia’s welfare,” added the source. “When Oksana read about the accident on the Internet, she became panicked because she thought Lucia was inevitably in the car with Mel at the time.”
The former couple is set to ratify their 50-50 joint custody agreement in court Tuesday, but Oksana may have changed her mind.
“Oksana’s lawyers plan to ask the judge why Mel should be allowed to have custody, for him only to leave town,” said the source. “If he is going to do that, Lucia should be in the custody of Oksana and not a woman who is not her mother.”
Zachary Comes Out
Zachary Quinto has directly addressed the subject of his sexuality on the record. Discussing his work in the play “Angels in America” in New York magazine, the actor commented that “as a gay man, it made me feel like there’s still so much work to be done, and there’s still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed.”
Congrats to Zachary for his openness!
