Christina Aguilera might have ended up in Jeremy Renner’s bed after a party — but that does not mean there was any romance going on. The “Hurt Locker” star reportedly griped to pals that the singer drank too much at his 40th-birthday bash earlier this month and went in his bedroom.
The singer was allegedly not even invited to the party in the first place, much less welcome in his bed. Us magazine reported the actor recalled the incident thusly:
“Someone comes and tells me she’s in my room. I run up and open the door and I’m like, ‘Um, hi. What are you doing?’ She just starts slurring. Her boyfriend [Matthew Rutler] was rubbing her back. Who comes to someone’s birthday party that they don’t know and gets in their bed? My parents were there!”
“Christina was a mess at that party,” a source said. “She acted like a fool. Her boyfriend was shushing her and telling her to go to sleep.”
A rep for the actor had a more gracious take, saying the singer “was enjoying herself, but she wasn’t in his bed.”
Just wondering: When was the last time Christina stayed home and put her son to bed?
After a bitter breakup with Tammy Lynn Michaels, the mother of her twin son and daughter, Melissa Etheridge has found love again. She is seeing Linda Wallem, the creator of “Nurse Jackie,” People magazine reported.
“Melissa and Linda have been best friends for over 10 years,” a friend said, noting that Linda served as “best man” for Melissa and Tammy’s wedding.
But no infidelity was involved, according to the pal.
“They got together three months after Melissa and Tammy broke up,” the source said.
Now the rocker, who is about to join the cast of “American Idiot” on Broadway for a weeklong stint, and the TV bigwig “are in a committed relationship. They’re happy,” the friend said.
As for Melissa and Tammy’s contentious split, “everybody really is in a better place now,” the source said.
Or maybe not. After the People magazine story broke, Tammy blogged alleging that the relationship started “much earlier” than the magazine’s report, claiming that during the breakup, “there was someone moving in as I was moving out.”
Kate Hudson’s estranged father is accusing her of turning her back on her ailing grandmother. Though Bill Hudson, former husband of Goldie Hawn and Kate’s biological dad, is shopping a tell-all book about the Hollywood marriage, he maintains that his daughter has an obligation to reach out to her 88-year old grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s.
“I have called Kate and texted her dozens of times begging her to help her grandmother, but she hasn’t responded to me,” the former Hudson Brothers musician complains to Radar Online. “Kate doesn’t have to talk to me and she doesn’t have to give her a dime of her millions. All I want is for her to call and say, ‘Hi, Grandma’, before it’s too late.”
The “Bride Wars” star, who considers de facto stepfather Kurt Russell her dad, has a 7-year-old son, Ryder, and is reportedly expecting a baby with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy — but Bill hasn’t met his grandchild and doesn’t expect to meet the one on the way.
“I’d be beyond thrilled if she let me meet my grandchild,” he declares. “But let’s face it, Kate has a four-year-old stepsister who she doesn’t even want to see. How sick is that?”
“I love Kate, but I think she has been contrived and destructive with me and with her other brothers and sisters,” the musician fumes. “She is a spoiled brat in my eyes, and at the end of the day, she should meet her little sister. I should meet my grandchild and she should help her grandmother.”
Wow. If that’s how he talks about her, we understand why Kate wants nothing to do with his side of the family.
