Britney Spears may not be a free woman anytime soon — but apparently, control of her life is set to shift from her father to her husband-to-be. Sounds awfully medieval to us!
The “Toxic” singer’s fiancé, Jason Trawick, has reportedly filed a petition in court to become one of her co-conservators, along with her father, Jamie Spears. While Jamie will continue to oversee Britney’s finances, her man will now look after her “well-being” ... whatever that means. Like, is he now legally obligated to give her foot rubs and stuff? Or just make sure she doesn’t start wearing that pink wig and going all mental again?
Oh, Amanda Bynes, we thought you were such a good girl. The former squeaky-clean teen star was spotted retrieving her car from a tow yard after allegedly — get this — being busted for DUI after she struck the back of a police car while attempting to pass it.
The “What I Like About You” actress was arrested in West Hollywood around 3 a.m. and spent hours in jail before posting $5,000 bail to go free, according to TMZ. She was spotted picking up her BMW wearing the same clothes she had on throughout the entire ordeal — we’re not certain whether that fits the technical definition of a walk of shame, but it should certainly qualify.
TMZ notes that this isn’t the first time Amanda’s behavior has been cause for concern, noting that the 26-year-old appeared to be extremely intoxicated on St. Patrick’s Day. Which would be understandable, because who isn’t? ... except that she then allegedly got behind the wheel to drive. Also in March, the actress is also said to have driven off while a cop was writing her a ticket for talking on her cellphone while driving — though she did stop by the police station later to sign the ticket.
At least there is one upside for Amanda in this whole situation: She’s actually getting some press!
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are rumored to be making a big commitment to each other ... but for once, the tabloids are not talking about marriage or babies.
“She’s planning to set up a production company with him,” a source tells OK!
The “Horrible Bosses” star formerly partnered with ex-husband Brad Pitt in running Plan B Productions — but gave up her stake after they split.
“Giving up [Plan B] was something she always regretted,” says the source. “But with Justin, she feels she has a second chance. He has a number of scripts written, and Jen’s really pushing to get them made because she’s a huge fan of his work.”
Is this really such a good idea? After all, mixing business and pleasure didn’t work out for Jen the last time.
