International Studies Academy students to get early Thanksgiving dinner

More than 500 people will get an early Thanksgiving dinner.

On Tuesday, families of students at the International Studies Academy will cook a Thanksgiving dinner for roughly 500 people.

As part of the annual Day of Sharing potluck, the dinner will feature turkeys and traditional side dishes served to students, staff and the Potrero Hill community beginning at 11:45 a.m.

International Studies Academy, located at 655 De Haro St., is the San Francisco Unified School District’s only 6th through 12th grade school. It was established to promote the study of languages.

The students at ISA as well as the 55,000 students in the district go on Thanksgiving holiday beginning Wednesday.
