  • Police have identified Calin Hunter as the 18-year-old who was found fatally shot in the 500 block of Alemany Boulevard on Thursday.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identity of an 18-year-old man shot and killed in Bernal Heights on Thursday night.

The body of Calin Hunter, who residence is still unknown, was found inside a home in the 500 block of Alemany Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m., according to the Medical Examiner’s Office and the San Francisco Police Department. He suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, police said.

No arrests have been made and police are investigating.

According to police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza, the victim came at about 8:30 p.m. to a woman’s apartment in the Alemany housing development, located in the 500 block of Alemany Boulevard.

The woman walked to the back of the apartment, heard a gunshot, and came back to find the victim shot in the head near the front door, Esparza said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Esparza said an unknown suspect is believed to have come to the front door and shot Hunter there.

Information on Hunter’s relationship to the woman is still being investigated, according to Esparza.
