Gunmen enter jewelry store, but take nothing

Three people burst into a Chinatown jewelry store Wednesday afternoon with guns, shot at least once, but did not take anything.

What’s being called an attempted robbery happened 4:40 p.m. in the 1300 block of Stockton Street, according to police.

The clerk saw the three, locked himself in a room, heard a gunshot then finally emerged and called police but the suspects were gone.

Police said there was a casing at the scene, but the suspects didn’t take anything. No arrests were made.
