Where’s Waldo? Thanks to a stolen cellphone’s tracking application, police said, investigators were able to apprehend Waldo Butler, a 21-year-old Vallejo man who was wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Diamond Heights last week.

About 8 p.m. Sept. 27, police said, a victim reported being robbed at gunpoint while walking on Duncan Street at Diamond Heights Boulevard. The gunman, later identified as Butler, allegedly took the victim’s backpack, wallet and cellphone at gunpoint before fleeing with a second suspect.

The cellphone tracker reportedly led police to Seventh and Market streets, where officers found the minivan. Butler and the second suspect — identified as Paris Brown, 25, of San Francisco — were arrested there.
