Good Samaritans tackle suspect in Richmond district stabbing 

Two people were stabbed Friday night in the Richmond district by a suspect who was then chased and tackled by Good Samaritans and eventually arrested by police.

The two stabbing victims and the suspect were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The incident around 9 p.m. in the 400 block of Clement Street escalated into a physical fight from a verbal argument, according to police.

One of the victims was stabbed in the arm, and the other suffered wounds to the rear flank. The stabbing weapon also was recovered, police said.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the stabbing to call an anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411.
