Giants outfielder Hunter Pence's scooter was returned undamaged Wednesday after it was stolen from outside a restaurant near AT&T Park on Sunday afternoon, a team spokeswoman said.
Giants spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said the scooter is back at the team's clubhouse after someone brought it in. The scooter was taken from outside Epic Roasthouse along The Embarcadero after the Giants' win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday.
Pence has been riding around The City on the battery-powered scooter since shortly after joining the Giants in a 2012 trade.
He had left the scooter, which is black with orange decals of his name and his jersey number 8, unlocked outside the restaurant while eating there and later found it was gone.
Since the theft was announced, Epic Roasthouse offered a dinner for two, the Union Square-area restaurant Lefty O'Doul's offered $200 and two free drinks, and Pence offered a signed bobblehead of himself riding the missing scooter in exchange for the safe return of the stolen vehicle.
