Gascón puts on the running shoes for safety

Police Chief George Gascón has been hustling to make San Francisco a safer place, but never so literally as now.

Gascón is set to run a 5k fundraiser for the SAFE network, which is trying to raise $20,000 to help spread the word about keeping your family safe from crime in The City.

The race is Sept. 26 and includes running, walking and a “stroller brigade.” We assume the fitness-fanatic chief will opt for the first option, unless he’s on the injured reserve again.
