Friends and family mourn death of youth killed in Bayview

Friends and family of 18-year-old Jesse Lamar Edwards, killed while trying to escape gunfire in San Francisco's Bayview district, gathered at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in the Bayview Tuesday to pay their respects. According to police, Edwards and 27-year-old Carl Bradley were riding dirt bikes along La Salle Avenue when an unidentified person began shooting. In an attempt to escape the gunfire, both men crashed their bikes and were severely injured. They were both taken to San Francisco General Hospital where they later died.
