WHAT: Michigan’s "forced unionization" law automatically deducts $30 from the state’s monthly state checks to in-home caregivers of their helplessly ill family dependents. The $30 goes directly for dues to the Service Employees International Union.

HOW: Numerous family caregivers have come forward to insist they receive absolutely nothing in exchange for their forced SEIU dues — no contacts with union representatives, not even a newsletter or an election ballot for officers of the local.

WHY IT’S OUTRAGEOUS: A rising tide of investigations by the Michigan press and watchdog groups has uncovered that the state Legislature’s top leaders have received thousands of dollars in donations from the SEIU and the health care industry.
