Festival of Lights

A look at some of the most spectacularly decorated holiday homes in San Francisco and on the Peninsula

Paul Tachis

1276 Windsor Way, Redwood City

When Tachis’ brother started to tease him by saying his holiday-decorated home looked like a tree lot, he decided to make it one. "He wanted to tease me, so I said, here you go, and I put his name on it," Tachis said. The mock tree lot, appropriately named "Tommy’s Trees," isn’t the only thing worth seeing at this festive residence. Hoards of white lights, a candy cane-arched walkway, reindeer and a Santa moving in and out of the chimney make Tachis’ home a major photo op.
