Festival of Lights

A look at some of the most spectacularly decorated holiday homes in San Francisco and on the Peninsula

Cecilia Cajias

410 Birch St., Redwood City

Cajias and her Rottweiler, Dakota Rose, go to great lengths decorating their house, with 20 strands of lights, reindeer, Christmas trees and a 5-foot-tall inflatable snowglobe with a dancing penguin inside. "The lights are all white, so it looks like snow is falling on the house," she said. If Cajias has her way, there will be even more houses decorated next year. "I’m trying to get our whole block to start doing it," she said. Already, several of her neighbors have joined her in decorating their homes.

Don’t miss: The dancing penguin. Come back year-round for decorations on St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day and even Mother’s Day.
