Facebook suspects author Salman Rushdie's account run by an imposter, deletes his page

Facebook allegedly removed famed author Salman Rushdie’s page last week because they suspected he might be an imposter. Rushdie sent his passport image, but then Facebook demanded that he post his name as Ahmed to rejoin. (Salman is officially his middle name.) When the page was reactivated under Ahmed Rushdie, he bombarded Facebook with irate tweets to his 100,000 Twitter followers. Finally on Tuesday, Rushdie’s Facebook page apparently was back online with the familiar Salman first name.
