Elevator ride turns into violent robbery

A 37-year-old man was punched and robbed Thursday by two men in their late 20s in an elevator at 18th and Church streets, police said.

Around 1 a.m., the crooks lured the victim into an elevator, punched him in the face and took his wallet, cops said.

The thugs fled on foot. No arrests have been made.
