This hangover is one that's going to really hurt.

An inebriated man was assaulted by four men in the Mission district Saturday, police said.

The 20-year-old victim was walking home after having a few too many near the intersection of 23rd and Hampshire streets about 7:25 p.m., police said.

The victim apparently started arguing with the four men who proceeded to beat him up, take his cash and flee on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim was hospitalized but his injuries were not considered life threatening. No arrests have been made.
