A new report claims Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil heartlessly used her for cash — even demanding payment before he would give her a kiss.
A source told the U.K.’s Sun that the “Back to Black” singer was “totally in love” with her hubby during their tumultuous relationship, but “he’d charge her £150 just to kiss him and get near him.”
“They’d be sitting, having a couple of drinks and she’d be trying to snuggle up to him. She’d say, ‘Give me a kiss, sailor.’ He’d go… ‘Give me some money then’ — and she’d go, ‘Blake, Blake,’” recalled the source, concluding, “He liked her but he didn’t love her.”
“She’d pay for him to get cabs to wherever she was. She’d pay £150 for a cab,” added the source, who estimates Amy could have spent a total of £250,000 on her man. “This was the pattern throughout their relationship.”
Since his ex-wife’s death, Blake, who is currently incarcerated on burglary charges, “is in a dark place, feeling sorry for himself,” says the source. “He talked about how much he did for her, buying a dozen bouquets on their first anniversary — one for each month they’d been married. He is trying to justify his behavior. He’s trying to persuade himself he was a good husband.”
Good luck with that.
We all know the Kardashians are publicity masterminds, and they’re not above using their relationships to gain press (see: Khloe and Lamar; Kim and Kris). But is the family really trying to push young
Kendall Jenner into a romance with Justin Bieber in order to up her profile?
Mom Kris Jenner, says a Star source, “desperately wants Kendall to become as famous as her superstar sisters, and she’s pushing for her to date Justin to help make that happen.”
And what about a certain Disney star who has already won Bieber’s heart?
Matriarch Kris “doesn’t care that he is dating Selena Gomez,” declares the source.
“They try very hard to keep the Kardashian name in the spotlight,” notes the source. “They’re determined to focus the spotlight on the young girls [Kendall and sister Kylie] as quickly as possible.” Hence, “Kim invited Justin to her wedding in an attempt to play matchmaker."
Oh, come on! Could the Kardashians really be scheming enough to try to break up two sweet, innocent teenagers’ relationship?
Joining a long list of old-time comics the likes of Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, Johnny Carson, Chevy Chase, Billy Crystal and David Letterman, Eddie Murphy will host the 84th Academy Awards ceremony.
Tuesday’s Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announcement confirmed rumors that the 50-year-old comedian-actor was being considered to host the telecast on Feb. 26.
Murphy’s upcoming film “Tower Heist” was directed by Brett Ratner, who is co-producing the Oscars show. Last year’s attempt to court younger viewers with hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway was deemed a flop by many.
