Development expected to gain official break 

The Board of Supervisors is expected to vote Tuesday for a second and final time to approve Mayor Gavin Newsom’s development fee deferral program. The program is meant to stimulate construction during the recession. The mayor’s office had identified nine developments, totaling 2,500 units, that are prepared to undergo construction if the fee-deferral program was offered.
