Delays continue on BART’s Pittsburg-Bay Point line

Travelers on BART’s Pittsburg-Bay Point line are still experiencing delays Monday morning, hours after an equipment problem was reported.

The eight-minute delay is being caused by trackside problems related to equipment that is usually run automatically having to be operated manually, BART spokesman Linton Johnson said.

He confirmed it isn’t a safety issue.

The delay began at around 6 a.m. As of about 10:10 a.m., there still was no estimated time for delay to end.
