Daily Outrage: Woman has to convince utility company she’s alive 

WHO: 58-year-old Austrian woman

WHAT: A Linz, Austria-based electricity supplier asked the woman for information about her account following her “passing away,” which the company said it learned of from her bank. The woman, however, is alive and kicking. In fact, it was her neighbor who died and she was the person’s custodian. The woman had to go to the customer service center to prove her existence.

AFTERMATH: The company apologized and called it “an unfortunate mistake.”
