It looks like District Attorney Kamala Harris may be going for the young vote in her run to be California’s Attorney General. On her Facebook Page, Harris notes that she will be joining numerous youth groups -- including La Casa de Las Madres and the Youth Justice Institute -- for a symposium Saturday on teen dating and how to stay away from controlling relationships. The event is part of Domestic Violence Awareness month. Harris will make opening remarks around 10:15 a.m. at the Women’s Building at 3543 18th Street. The symposium will cover topics about sexual assault and physical boundaries, gender roles and have plenty of resources for the teenagers."Unless we intervene, young people involved in abusive relationships now are prone to repeat this behavior as adults, either as perpetrators or victims," Harris wrote on her Facebook page.
