Crook shoots man for resisting robbery

A man was shot by a crook in the Excelsior district Monday, cops said.

The victim was standing on the corner of Persia Avenue and London Street around 5:10 p.m., police said.

The gun-wielding suspect, described by police as a man in his 20s, tried to grab the victim’s gold chain, cops said. The victim resisted so the gun-wielding miscreant shot him and fled into a waiting black vehicle, police said. He did not get the gold chain.

The victim was treated at the hospital for his injuries, which were not life threatening, cops said.

No arrest has been made.
