  • A man's cellphone was stolen from him by some devious crooks in San Francisco's Union Square last Friday.

These crooks took advantage of a would-be Good Samaritan.

A man's cellphone was stolen from him at a Union Square café last Friday, police said, when he went to check on the condition of a man who collapsed.

The victim was sitting at a sidewalk table at a café at 225 Powell St. about 8:40 p.m. when one of the suspects in the robbery fell to the ground in front of him.

The victim leaned over to see how the man was doing and one of his four accomplices grabbed the victim's cellphone and fled, police said.

No arrests have been made.
