Crook asks for numbers, steals cellphones

When two teenage girls wouldn’t give a gun-toting goon their numbers, he stole their phones instead.

Larch Street and Van Ness Avenue
11:30 p.m. Saturday

Two women, 75 and 39, were assaulted and robbed by two men in their 20s, police said. The hoodlums ran up and started punching before fleeing with one purse.

Capitol and Lakeview avenues
11:45 p.m. Saturday

Two girls in their late teens were robbed, police said. The suspect, a man in his 20s, asked the victims for their digits before pulling out a gun and snatching their phones and cash.

Unit block of Third Street
10:15 p.m. Saturday

A 58-year-old man was attacked while trying to secure a cab, police said. The suspect, 60, was flagging cabs for the victim. When the victim said he didn’t need help, the suspect knocked him to the ground.

S.F. General Hospital
 11 p.m. Friday

A 25-year-old man was stabbed, police said. The victim told police at the hospital that five men demanded his cash. When he refused, he was stabbed. He did not know where he was when the incident occurred.
