Crime Map: Once bitten, twice shy

A woman was shot in the leg breaking up a fight, and a man and woman were bitten in a separate assault.

200 block of Turk Street, 1:30 a.m. Tuesday

A man and woman in their 30s were punched, kicked and bitten by two men, aged 24 and 32, police said. The suspects were later arrested.

Third and Quesada streets 6:50 p.m. Monday

A woman was shot in the leg while trying to break up a fight, police said. The suspected shooter is a woman in her 30s. She was apparently arguing with someone else when things got physical. When the victim intervened, she got shot. Her injuries are not life threatening.

Unit block of Walter Lum Place 6:40 p.m. Monday

A 72-year-old woman’s apartment was burglarized, police said. The woman left her home unlocked because her elderly uncle was home. A man in his 40s is suspected to have stolen cash from the home.

Golden Gate Avenue and Dale Alley 1:30 p.m. Monday

A 34-year-old man was robbed of his cash and cellphone at gunpoint, police said. The suspect pushed him into the alley and demanded his goods. The victim complied.
