Crime cuts like a knife 

Three people were stabbed and another was robbed with a box cutter in crimes over the weekend.

McAllister and Steiner streets
2:30 a.m. Sunday

A 28-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint, police said. The 18-year-old suspect threatened the victim with a box cutter and stole his purse and cellphone before fleeing.

24th and Bartlett streets
1 a.m. Monday

A 26-year-old man was stabbed as he passed someone on the sidewalk, police said. The victim excused himself as he passed the suspected stabber, described as a man in his 30s, who punched the victim in the chest. When the victim got home, he realized he’d actually been stabbed. He then went to the hospital. His injury was not life-threatening.

Sixth and Natoma streets
7:25 p.m. Friday

A 31-year-old man was stabbed in the back, police said. An individual was pointed out to police as the possible suspect and arrested. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

1300 block of Market Street
8:15 p.m. Saturday

A 29-year-old woman was stabbed in the stomach, police said. The victim and a woman in her 50s were arguing when the woman stabbed her. She was later arrested. The victim’s injury was not serious.
