That was Tim Pawlenty, Republican presidential candidate. I think this is a good angle,
I know I'm exemplifying he Dougherty Doctrine by claiming my own ideology would be politically successful, but it seems obvious to me that much of the Tea Party anger was directed at bailed-out banks as much as big government. It seems free-market populism has some real cache on the Right, and some presidential candidate would be prudent to take up the flag.
Pawlenty's a good candidate for this because he got beat up by industry for resisting federal healthcare subsidies. This anti-Harvard, anti-Wall Street stuff fits the same mold.
