Not since Steven Seagal’s last movie has a man with a ponytail caused so much excitement over at the San Francisco Police Department.

Police say they have arrested four men known as the “pony tail robbers” who are suspected in a string of robberies in Oakland and The City last week.

On Sunday, officers from Mission Station stopped a van matching the description given by robbery victims. One of the suspects had a handgun at the time of the arrest, according to police.

Stolen property taken in at least one of the robberies was also recovered from the van and further investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit linked these suspects to the other robberies.

An additional suspect was identified and implicated in the Oakland robberies, bringing the total number of suspects to four.

Three brothers from Hayward, Eduardo Rodriguez, 28, Jose Rodriguez, 22, and Edgar Rodriguez, 29, were taken into custody. The fourth man, Deandre Ware, 26, was also booked on robbery and conspiracy.
