Construction on J-Church line complete

Construction work to repair the aging railway on Muni’s J-Church line has been completed after just one weekend.

The $1 million rehabilitation project on the J-Church line, part of a larger infrastructure upgrade that also includes improvements to the N-Judah and L-Taraval routes, was originally scheduled to take three weekends of work.

However, construction crews were able to finish up the necessary repairs, located at 30th and Church streets, in just one weekend, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which oversees Muni.

The J-Church carries an average of 16,695 passengers each day.
