Fox News attempted to present a “fair and balanced” take on the seemingly unbalanced congressional stenographer, Dianne Reidy, who began ranting about God and Freemasons at the close of the shutdown talks.
“Do not be deceived,” she shouted before being escorted away. “God shall not be mocked!”
She also claimed that the Constitution was written by “atheists.”
According to Yahoo, “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy shared reader emails in support of Reidy, basically saying that she simply loved the Lord and was being persecuted for her beliefs, despite shouting them out in the middle of a vote and generally looking like a nutter.
“Maybe she just saw something that didn’t seem right,” interjected plucky co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. “Mounting tensions and frustrations brought it out of her.”
Probably. After all, it was revealed last week that the congressional gym didn’t provide towels during the shutdown. People can only take so much.
