Compromise paves way for Russian Hill development

A few weeks of negotiations brokered by Supervisor Mark Farrell resulted in a compromise over the 1268 Lombard St. development.

A group of neighbors objecting to the project agreed to withdraw their appeal after the developer agreed to additional conditions on the permit to build. Those conditions included specifications about the height of the elevator penthouse, the building height and the style of the front penthouse stairs.

With the appeal dropped, the four-story, four-unit residential building can move forward as planned.
