Cold-blooded brute attacks wheelchair-bound man

A wheelchair-bound man was assaulted during a heartless robbery attempt in the Tenderloin on Sunday morning, police said.

The 60-year-old victim was ruthlessly beaten after trying to wheel away from the robber at Eddy and Taylor streets around 7:35 a.m.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene shortly after the assault. He allegedly demanded cash, then punched the victim repeatedly and knocked him out of his wheelchair after he tried to escape, police said.

The victim’s injuries were “minor” and he refused medical attention, police said.
