City Hall is filling up and the suspense is building. Four newly elected members of the Board of Supervisors are about to be sworn into office inside the legislative chambers with an audience of their friends and family watching. Then the new board make up will cast a big political vote, who will serve the two-year term as president of the board.
Current Board of Supervisors President David Chiu may seem like a favorite, but other possible nominations could prove tough contenders, such as progressives John Avalos and David Campos or moderate Supervisor Sean Elsbernd.
The ceremony begins at noon. A vote will follow.
