City files suit in Treasure Island PUC scam

Remember those SF PUC workers charged with billing The City for hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for sex parties, BMW tires and personal home improvements?

As their criminal case winds through the legal system, the City Attorney’s Office, which helped set up a private investigation into the allegations, has filed a lawsuit against eight individuals and a distribution company mired in the scandal.

While the district attorney asks for restitution in a case where defendants are found guilty, sometimes cases just don’t work out as well as prosecutors hope. So, the City Attorney is laying the foundation for what could be a civil suit.

Included in the lawsuit are Donnie Thomas, Miles Bonner, John Rauch, Robert Mazariegos, Vincent Padilla, Elizabeth Bradford, Jean Quiroz, Carlos Quiroz and Centennial Distributors, INC.
