Can’t wait to hear Chris Cornell’s new “Songbook” live album on Nov. 21, you say?

Good news — the Audioslave/Soundgarden banshee is releasing it sequentially on iTunes, as three separate EPS spaced one week apart, starting with today’s “Songbook EP 1” (“As Hope And Promise Fade,” Scar On The Sky,” “I Am The Highway,” “Like A Stone”).

Next Tuesday: EP 2: “Call Me A Dog,” “Ground Zero,” “Can’t Change Me,” “Black Hole Sun.” Also included on the set, culled from his recent catalog-spanning solo tour, is a brand-new number, “Cleaning My Gun.”

Also, 24 hours before each Tuesday release, will stream the EPs in their entirety for fans to preview.

“My fans are pretty vocal, tweeting and posting online, asking me to record the shows and put them out,” says the Grammy-winning singer. “So this album, as a whole, came from that, and I think we created something that really captured my tour and what I was putting out there each night.”

He even used fan photographs from said tour for the “Songbook” album art. The second leg, of course, hits San Francisco’s Palace Of Fine Arts on Dec. 15.
